MFHS works to meet the health and nutrition needs of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s women, children and families with information, education, and quality care. Each of the core programs of MFHS addresses specific needs in the community, and allows Pennsylvania’s women and men to provide the very best for their families. Our community based programs address a range of health disparities, including: nutrition education and healthy foods for pregnant people and children under 5; STD prevention and testing; home-visit nurses for first-time mothers; teen pregnancy prevention and education; maternity care; and breastfeeding support.
