Maternal & Family Health Services, Inc. (MFHS) announces that its 46^th Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors and Community Awards Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, October 18^th, 2017, 12 noon at The Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre. The agency will be presenting several awards, including the Rose Allan Tucker Award to Lorine Angelo Ogurkis, Esquire.
Maternal & Family Health Services began its journey of service in April 1971, with a vision to improve the quality of family life, promote responsible parenthood and coordinate effective service delivery in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Today, MFHS has grown to a regional organization serving over 100,000 individuals in 16 Pennsylvania counties.
Among the awards being given at the Annual Meeting, is the prestigious Rose Allan Tucker Award. This year, the recipient is Lorine Angelo Ogurkis, Esquire. Attorney Ogurkis is a dedicated member of the community in Northeastern Pennsylvania who works tirelessly for children and families at Brandon’s Forever Home. As the organization’s Executive Director, she counsels prospective mothers (and other women and mothers) and provides assistance and resources to families with children in the foster care system.
Several other awards will be presented during the MFHS 46^th Annual Community Awards Luncheon:

• Frank R. Kolucki, MD FACOG: The Community Service Award
• Sarah Arledge: The MFHS Champion Award
• Chloe Acker: The Kathy A. Dickerson Memorial Scholarship
