John Kearney Elected to NFPRHA Board of Directors Featured Image

John Kearney, Vice President of Strategies & Innovation and Title X Project Director at Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS), has been elected to the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association (NFPHRA) board of directors. NFPRHA works to enhance the ability of thousands of nurse practitioners, doctors, and other health professionals to provide high-quality family planning care throughout the country.

John joined MFHS in 2015 and has been working in various arenas of healthcare for over 20 years. In this role, John works in-tandem with family planning partners throughout the region to evaluate and implement opportunities to provide reproductive health to individuals, coupling Health Information Technology with ensuring access to quality reproductive health services.

Prior to joining MFHS, John was the Senior Director of Technology & Administrative Systems for Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine where his extensive background and leadership in IT, specifically in data management and Business Intelligence (BI), was recognized by Tibco software with their Rockstar award for excellence in BI design and innovation.  John holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management from Misericordia University and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He is also a graduate of Leadership Wilkes-Barre and has volunteered as a member of their Advisory Council. John is a member of the Health Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and has previously participated in multiple community boards and groups.
