2015 Keystone Active Zone Passport Program
Summer is here. How are you going to enjoy it? Get yourself a KAZ Passport. This free program, offered in Luzerne County, allows everyone to get active right here at home. The KAZ Passport provides an endless amount of free, recreational activities including, but not limited to, parks, trails, and outdoor events. Visit the passport stops as often as possible for nonstop fun! The more you visit, the more prizes and awards you have the chance to win for free. Hike Back Mountain Trail or visit Ricketts Glen. Attend the Family Fishing Festival at Frances Slocum State Park. Don’t know how to fish? No problem! This event includes professionals who will teach you the basics. If you’re not into fishing, think about the Pittston Riverfest. Last years event included hay-wagon rides, arrowhead making, dancing and storytelling, children’s mural painting and more. This year will be just as fun! Did we mention that everything is free?
