Tasty Treats That Support A Good Cause
If you live or work around downtown Wilkes-Barre, you’ve no doubt gone to the Farmers Market during the summer. It’s a tradition here to go out and pick up some fresh fruits and veggies, along with some tasty lunch. The proof is in the pudding, and it’s delicious!
Now, through the end of September, you can pick up dessert at the Farmers Market as well. Maternal & Family Health Services is selling Down Home Homemade Rice Pudding every week at the Farmer’s Market! We’ve featured this generations old pudding on our blog before. We love it because of its all natural ingredients and its PA Preferred status with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
Now you can pick up some of this delicious pudding at the Wilkes-Barre Farmers Market. The MFHS tent will be set up near the band shell each week. We are carrying three flavors right now: plain, raisin and sugar free (sweetened with Splenda). We are also considering trying a few other flavors so let us know in the comments if you have a favorite!
All proceeds from our rice pudding sale will benefit MFHS and help us continue to provide valuable services to women, men and children throughout eastern Pennsylvania. Last week we completely sold out of pudding. Won’t you stop by and help us sell out again?
