Women
Many women can receive free birth control, Pap tests, STD testing and more through
SelectPlan for Women - a no cost plan that covers family planning and birth control.
All services are confidential and free to you!
What services are covered under SelectPlan for Women?
SelectPlan for Women pays for:
- Birth Control (including pills, condoms, diaphragms, the patch, etc.)
- Emergency Contraception
- Pap Tests
- STD Testing and Treatment
- HIV Testing and Counseling
- Breast Exams
- Routine Women’s Health

Do I qualify for SelectPlan for Women?
You likely qualify if you:
- are between the ages of 18 and 44 years old
- are a
U.S.
citizen or permanent
U.S.
resident
- are a resident of
Pennsylvania
- have no health insurance that covers family planning services
- are not pregnant
- meet income requirements (see chart below)

How Do I Sign Up for SelectPlan for Women?
Enrollment is easy and we can help!
You can enroll in SelectPlan for Women at any Family Planning Center.

Our skilled and trusted healthcare professionals will provide answers to your questions and
confidential care that’s all about you.
When you come to your appointment, bring this information with you:
1. Identification - Bring documents listed below.
- U.S Passport or Birth Certificate
AND
- Pennsylvania Driver’s License or State Issued Photo ID
2. Proof of income for you and all working family members in your household. Any ONE of the following examples:
- A recent pay stub for a typical pay period
- Employer’s letter stating pay for a typical pay period
- Proof of other income, such as child support
- If self-employed, a copy of tax returns
3. Insurance Card if you have health insurance.
4. Social Security Number - you need to know your Social Security number.
You do not need to bring in your actual Social Security card.

and our staff can help get your application started.

Is there any cost to me if I enroll in SelectPlan for Women?
No. This is a FREE program. If you qualify for SelectPlan for Women, there are no co-pays for your visits, no visit limits, and no cost to you for your birth control prescriptions.
Services, including birth control, will be provided at no cost to you beginning the day you fill out the application.
What if I don’t qualify for SelectPlan for Women?
If you don’t qualify for SelectPlan for Women, you may qualify for other confidential, free or reduced cost family planning services available through Maternal and Family Health Services. Click here to learn more about the MFHS Family Planning Program.
