Maternal & Family Health Services, along with the PA Department of Health, is proud to announce the launch of the newly redesigned SafeTeens.org! The new website is designed with teens in mind, and is full of new articles and features to help teens make healthy choices about sex, relationships, physical fitness and more.
The new site continues to include some popular features, such as the “find a health center” page, which helps teens find a family planning center anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania. Ask Nurse Kathy is also back, which allows teens to email a health question to a real nurse who can advise them.
Safeteens.org features articles about the topics that matter the most to teens, such as safe sex, pregnancy concerns and relationship issues. New sections include articles and advice for LGBTQ teens, as well as advice just for guys in the new Man Cave. All of these sections will continue to be updated with an expanding library of articles each month.
In addition, the site now has regularly changing polls, featured videos on the home page, and a blog with up to the minute news about the issues teens care about. Teens can also interact with the SafeTeens.org team via their favorite social media site. SafeTeens is currently on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, YouTube and Tumblr.
