HealthyWoman ProgramThe HealthyWoman Program provides preventative screenings and diagnostic services for breast and cervical cancer to women primarily between the ages of 40 and 65 with low to moderate incomes who do not have alternative medical insurance. Other ages may also be eligible under certain circumstances. Maternal and Family Health Services administers the program in 15 Pennsylvania counties through a network of hospitals and mammography sites.
The HealthyWoman services include:
- Mammograms
- Clinical breast examinations
- Education on breast care
- Ultrasounds
- Pap tests and pelvic exams
- Biopsies
- Referrals for further treatment if necessary
